Micro-Flo
Low Flow Purge Bladder Pump
The
Micro-Flo System low flow methodology makes use of the bladder pump
with specific objectives: Purge at low rate, ranging from 200 to 500ml
per minute; monitor static water level during purging to maintain constant
level; monitor water parameters - pH, Temperature, conductivity, DO,
turbidity, etc. Once specific target parameters stabilize, acquire the
sample by reducing the pump flow rate to 100ml per minute. By adopting
the low flow methodology over conventional methods, a more representative
sample can be acquired in less time. The amount of purge water that
must be disposed is significantly reduced. This adds up to significant
savings in the cost associated with operating a sampling system. Available
in Stainless Steel & Teflon or PVC & Teflon models, the Micro-Flo can
be installed in 2" and larger monitoring wells. It can withstands 200
psi operation (400 feet installation depth) and is easily adjustable
to meet purging standards of 200 to 500 ml/min and consistently delivers
100 ml/min sampling rate without agitation. A choice of a 12 VDC or
fully pneumatic pump cycle controller is available to manage the compressed
air used to power pneumatic pumps. Enclosed in a rugged, environmentally
sealed, shock resistant case they are designed with large air paths
so as not to restrict the air flow as it moves from the compressed air
source to the pump. Sensitive air flow control permits high purging
rates and low (less than 100ml/ min.) sample rates and double acting
option permits operation of two pumps simultaneously, without requiring
an external manifold.
